WATERLOO Road’s Scarlett Thomas has admitted she only has one friend as she opened up about struggling to make connections as a “nepo baby”.
The actress shared the candid confession, revealing the challenges she’s faced behind the scenes.

The actress spoke honestly about her social circle, admitting she doesn’t have a big circle of friends.
Appearing on the podcast Ami Charlize’s Private Story, Scarlett said: “I keep my circle very very small.
“I have my best friend Summer, who I also met on , and it’s just me and her.
“I’m so at peace with that and happy with that.”
She also spoke out about being labelled a “nepo baby” has made things harder, with people sometimes making assumptions before getting to know her.
A “nepo baby” – short for nepotism baby – is someone who has benefited from family connections in the industry, often through famous or well-connected parents.
Scarlett’s parents are both well known in the world as they appeared in .
When Scarlett announced her role on Waterloo Road, some fans speculated that she secured the job due to her family connections – especially with her uncle already on the show.
However, her Scarlett’s mum, , spoke out about how Scarlett auditioned like everyone else and has been going to drama school since she was young.
Scarlett hopes to follow her family’s roots in drama and TV.
But she doesn’t believe that she has been given advantages due to being a “nepo baby.”
Scarlett said: “My family have given me loads of chances and taught me stuff more than anything.
“They’ve not put me in place, they’ve just taught me.
“And I’m so grateful that they’ve had that and they’ve learnt and can pass that down to me.”
As well as acting, Scarlett loves to sing.
