Watch: Lee Jong Suk Goes From Clumsy Rookie To Cynical Veteran Lawyer In New Preview Of “Law And The City”

Published on July 04, 2025 at 03:27 AM

With its premiere just around the corner, tvN’s “Law and The City”; has unveiled a special preview!

“Law and The City”; follows five associate attorneys—Ahn Ju Hyeong (Lee Jong Suk), Kang Hui Ji (Mun Ka Young), Cho Chang Won (Kang You Seok), Bae Mun Jeong (Ryu Hye Young), and Ha Sang Gi (Im Seong Jae)—as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their daily lives. These salaried lawyers, employed by law firms, commute each day to the bustling legal district of Seocho.

The new video begins with Ahn Ju Hyeong spotting a passionate rookie lawyer on the street who is practicing lines from a legal drama. This moment sparks memories of Ju Hyeong’s own early days as a young attorney.

The flashback sequence begins with Ahn Ju Hyeong in his first year, rushing into the office in a modest knit vest—far from the polished image of the experienced attorney he is today. In his second year, he is shown grappling with a difficult client who insists he is innocent. In court, however, a video emerges that shows the client attacking someone, leaving Ju Hyeong visibly betrayed and powerless.

By his third year, the challenges intensify. During a consultation, a client gently smiles and reassures him that the case is not about money. However, after Ju Hyeong loses the case due to the client’s faulty product, the same client angrily confronts him, grabbing him by the collar.

These glimpses into his past comically reveal the emotional toll and hardships Ahn Ju Hyeong has endured, which have shaped him into the sharp, cynical attorney he has become. What kinds of new challenges he will face in the upcoming drama, and how he will overcome them?
