tvN’s upcoming drama “Second Shot at Love”; has unveiled a new teaser video and poster!
“Second Shot at Love”; is a rom-com that follows Han Geum Ju (Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung ), a self-proclaimed “reasonable drinker”; who unexpectedly reunites with her first love Seo Ui Jun ( Gong Myoung )-a man who despises alcohol-and decides to take on the challenge of quitting drinking.
The newly released teaser kicks off with mom Kim Gwang Ok ( Kim Sung Ryung ) bursting into her daughter Han Geum Ju’s apartment. As she shouts in anger, “I heard you said you love alcohol more? That you wanted to call off the wedding?!”; she sees a hungover Han Geum Ju sprawled out next to a table littered with empty liquor bottles. The way Kim Gwang Ok smacks Han Geum Ju’s back perfectly captures the raw frustration of a real-life mom.
Han Geum Ju defends herself by saying, “Do you think I’m an alcoholic? I’m just a social drinker!”; However, the family’s daily drinking routine, where they cannot go without alcohol, quickly comes into focus. Including Geum Ju's father Han Jung Soo ( Kim Sang Ho ) and her older sister Han Hyun Ju ( Jo Yoon Hee ), the family’s genuine love for alcohol is hilarious yet concerning.
Watching all this, Kim Gwang Ok’s patience finally reaches its limit. She ultimately throws a bottle of ginseng liquor to the floor and declares, “From now on, there will be no alcohol in this house!”; With this outburst, which comes after much restraint, the family is left frozen in shock.
Kim Gwang Ok’s project to make her home alcohol-free begins as the family joins a no-alcohol camp at a temple, but the three drink-loving family members quickly succumb to makgeolli. Watching all of this, Kim Gwang Ok’s anger explodes, and Seo Ui Jun encourages Han Geum Ju to stay strong with a firm, “Geum Ju, let’s quit drinking.”;
