Watch: Kang Dong Won Risks It All To Protect Jun Ji Hyun Amid Terror And Espionage In “Tempest”

Disney+’s upcoming drama “Tempest” has unveiled a new poster and trailer!

“Tempest”follows Moon Ju ( Jun Ji Hyun ), a renowned UN ambassador who sets out to uncover the truth behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate, and San Ho ( Kang Dong Won ), a special agent of unknown nationality who must protect her, as they confront a massive truth that threatens the Korean Peninsula.

The newly released poster features the two leads staring in the same direction, illuminated by rays of light cutting through the darkness. The caption, “Through the storm, to the place where light awaits,” piques curiosity about the story to come.

The trailer opens with a tragic shooting during a mass held in hope for peaceful reunification-marking Moon Ju and San Ho’s first encounter. As a mysterious object rises from the deep sea, a voice warns, “This is much bigger than you think,” hinting at an escalating chain of events.

The tension builds further with scenes inside the White House, where U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Anderson (John Cho) grimly states, “A storm is coming,” signaling a crisis that spans far beyond Korea.

Determined to uncover the truth, Moon Ju runs for election,while San Ho risks his life to shield her. As large-scale terror attacks erupt, the stakes only grow higher.

Moon Ju’s calm voiceover-“Who are you? Why did you come to me?”-reveals her inner turmoil, while a tense reunion at a bus stop deepens the mystery surrounding her and San Ho’s relationship.

Adding to the anticipation is a powerful supporting cast, including Lee Mi Sook , Park Hae Joon , Kim Hae Sook , Yoo Jae Myung , and Oh Jung Se .

“Tempest” will premiere with three episodes on September 10, followed by two new episodes weekly starting September 17, for a total of nine episodes.
