Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has gifted Super Falcons defender Oluwatosin Demehin N30 million and an apartment in Akure as a reward for helping the Super Falcons win the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, DAILY POST reports.

Aiyedatiwa hosted Demehin at the Government House in Akure on Monday.

The centre-back played every minute of the Super Falcons’ six games at the WAFCON 2024 finals.

The Fenerbahçe of Turkey player scored in Nigeria’s 5-0 quarter-final victory over the Copper Queens of Zambia.

It was the former Falconets star’s first-ever goal for the multiple African champions.

Aiyedatiwa also hosted the team’s media officer, Mary Akinsola, and secretary, Mary Oduboku, who are also indigenes of the state.

Akinsola and Oduboku were each gifted N15 million by the state’s number one citizen.
