English Women’s Super League club, Brighton & Hove Albion have officially welcomed Chiamaka Nnadozie to their squad, DAILY POST reports.
Nnadozie joined the Seagulls on a free transfer in July after ending her stay with French Feminine outfit, Paris FC.
The 24-year-old’s arrival was, however, delayed by her involvement with Nigeria at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Nnadozie was named best goalkeeper at the competition, with the Super Falcons claiming a record-extending 10th title.
The shot stopper was met with Nigerian flags, applause, and a standing ovation from her new teammates and staff on her first day at Brighton.
She is expected to take up the role of Brighton’s first choice goalkeeper in the new season.
Dario Vidosic’s side will host Aston Villa in their opening fixture of the new season at the Broadfield Stadium on Sunday, 7 September.
They finished in fifth position in the 2024/25 season.
