Super Falcons forward Esther Okoronkwo will be sidelined for around six week due to a knee injury, DAILY POST reports.

Okoronkwo suffered a meniscus damage on her knee in AFC Toronto’s league game against Halifax this week.

The 29-year-old is expected to recover in time for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The tournament will start in Morocco on July 25.

Okoronkwo played a crucial role in the Super Falcons triumph at the last edition of the tournament.

She scored two goals, and registered six assists.
