Ashleigh Plumptre has said the Super Falcons are prepared for battle against the Copper Queens of Zambia, DAILY POST reports.

The two teams are set to clash for a place in the semi-finals at the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Casablanca on Friday.

Zambia have scored the second-highest number of goals in the competition (6).

Their dynamic attacking duo, Barbara Banda and Racheal Kundananji, have consistently troubled opposing defenders with their pace, trickery, and power.

Plumptre acknowledged the attacking threat posed by the Copper Queens but insisted the Super Falcons are ready to contain them.

The centre-back stated that the team would devise a strategy to neutralise the entire Zambian side, not just the two star forwards.

“Obviously we know that Zambia have really good attacking threats and we respect that, and we’re prepared for that. But we don’t prepare for two players, we prepare for Zambia as a whole team,”; the Al-Ittihad Ladies of Saudi Arabia defender told a press conference on Thursday.
