Published on July 04, 2025 at 02:49 PM

Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu says his team is focused on their opening fixture against Tunisia at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, DAILY POST reports.

The West Africans will begin their quest for a 10th title against the Tunisians in Casablanca on Sunday.

The nine-time champions are in buoyant mood heading into competition having defeated eternal rivals Black Queens of Ghana 3-1 in a friendly on Sunday.

They have tasted defeat just once in their last five outings.

Madugu stated that they are focused on the task ahead.

“We are very focused on our realisable and achievable target of Mission X. The girls are ready and are showing real hunger for victory and team spirit is high. We are looking forward to our first match on Sunday against Tunisia,”; the gaffer told thenff.com.

The encounter against Tunisia will kick-off at 5:00 pm Nigeria time.

Algeria and Botswana will clash in the other Group B game same day.
