WAFCON 2024: Semi-final fixtures confirmed

The two semi-final fixtures at the ongoing Women’s African Cup of Nations have been confirmed.

This follows the conclusion of the quarter-final matches on Saturday.

Ghana needed penalties to eliminate Algeria, after the game ended goalless after 120 minutes.

Cynthia Konlan emerged as the hero of the day, saving kicks from Marine Dafeur and Inès Belloumou.

The Black Queens will take on hosts Morocco in the last four next week Wednesday.

The second semi-final will see South Africa take on the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Bayana Bayana also needed penalties to see off Senegal, after the match produced no goals after 120 minutes.
