WAFCON 2024: Okoronkwo upbeat Super Falcons will beat Botswana

Super Falcons forward Esther Okoronkwo has said that fans can expect more victories from the team at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, DAILY POST reports.

Okoronkwo was the standout performer in Nigeria’s 3-0 triumph over Algeria in Casablanca on Sunday. Coming on as a substitute, she provided an assist and was named Woman of the Match.

The AFC Toronto striker is expected to play a key role in the Super Falcons’ clash against Botswana on Thursday (today).

Okoronkwo stated that the team will continue to work diligently to achieve their objectives in the tournament.

“We only have to take the positives and fix what is needed to be fixed from the previous game. Go back, watch the videos, make some corrections, and keep working as a team,”; she said.

A win would see the Super Falcons secure a place in the quarter-finals.
