Gabriela Salgado has declared that South Africa are mentally and physically ready for the clash with Nigeria.

Salgado admitted that facing Nigeria will be a tough challenge for the defending champions.

The midfielder further said it is important to psyche themselves up for the task ahead.

“We know we’re going into the semifinal game, it’s going to be a challenge, but we are physically and mentally prepared,” she said ahead of the game.

Tuesday’s encounter will hold at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, Casablanca.

The winner will face either hosts Morocco or Ghana in the final at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on Saturday.

South Africa have won the WAFCON title once in their history.
