SALLY was fed up with spending a fortune on clothes that her toddler would outgrow in a few months.
She spotted the perfect fleece for £17 in Next, but instead of parting with her hard-earned cash, she found another way to get her hands on it for a fraction of the price.

Taking to her @littlewhiteadventures Instagram page, Sally said how she fell in love with the jacket, but was put off by the price tag.
Trying her luck, Sally took a photo of the fleece and opened her app.
Using a little-known feature on the buying and selling site, she uploaded the snap to image search.
Yes, that’s right. Vinted can help track down the clothes you want at a fraction of the price.
Sally told her 11K followers: “I genuinely did not realise you could search Vinted by , and now I feel I’ve unlocked a secret mum level.”
To her delight, she found the Next jacket on the site for just £4 – saving herself £13.
She added: “This is hands down one of the best money-saving if you’re buying kids’ clothes, toddler clothes, baby clothes or basically anything they’ll grow out of in 5 minutes anyway.”
Other mums flocked to the comment section to praise Sally for her hot tip.
“How did I not know you could search by photo !? Game changer,” one wrote.
Another added: “Oh wow, how did I not know this! Thanks for sharing.”
Do you need to pay tax on items sold on Vinted?
QUICK facts on tax from the team at Vinted…
- The only time that an item might be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and there is profit (sells for more than you paid for it). Even then, you can use your capital gains tax-free allowance of £3,000 to offset it.
- Generally, only business sellers trading for profit (buying goods with the purpose of selling for more than they paid for them) might need to pay tax. Business sellers who trade for profit can use a tax-free allowance of £1,000, which has been in place since 2017.

“Wow, never knew this great tip! Thanks,” said a third.
Many also pointed out the fact that, as well as saving money, buying pre-loved is better for the planet.
Sally isn’t the only one sharing game-changing Vinted tips.
On her @theunbusybee account, Sam revealed an easy way to increase sales around payday.
She said: “I’m gonna tell you a little vintage hack that’s gonna get you more sales on payday.
“If you are like me and who, Vinted and and everything else has been a little bit sluggish with January, then you’re not alone.
“But I’m gonna tell you a little hack that I use around this time when we’re waiting for payday, that always brings in extra sales.”
Sam advised that if you have items which have , you need to put the price up by a couple of pounds.
She explained: “Yes, you heard that right. Now, this is where we’re being a bit sneaky, because on Vinted, if you increase the price of your item, the people that have favourited it don’t get a notification.
“The chances are they’re not gonna remember what the price was when they favourited it.
“What you’re then gonna do is you are gonna drop the price by a couple of pounds.
“Now, when you reduce the price of an item, people do get notified.”
She claimed that people who had the item saved “won’t remember” the price they favourited, and so will be tempted to buy it.
The Vinted seller wrote: “I have tried this hack several times around payday and it always works and it always brings in sales.”
