PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING hero Van Hammer has suddenly died at the age of 66 with the cause of his death currently unknown.
Hammer, whose real name was Mark Hildreth, competed for WCW and , during his glory years in the squared circle.

There are currently no details regarding the American grappler’s sad passing and fellow wrestling favourite confirmed nothing is currently known.
According to Wrestle Feed , however, there will soon be an autopsy.
Pro wrestling enthusiasts were left heartbroken as they took to social media to pay tribute to Hammer.
One fan tweeted: “REST IN PEACE VAN, YOU WERE AN AWSOME WRESTLER.”

A third wrote: “Aw man, RIP.”
This fan said: “Legend.”
That one added: “Icon.”
And a comment read: “He will always be remembered.”
Hammer started wrestling in 1991 and joined WCW that same time for a total of nine years.
The heavyweight had a short stint in WWE in 1993 but struggled to stand out.
The Maryland native enjoyed more success in WCW where he even picked up victories over the likes of Mick Foley, Kevin Nash and during those legends’ early days.
Hammer is also known for being part of The Flock with Raven and also had title matches against Hall of Famers like , Sid Vicious and .
