Published on May 29, 2025 at 07:58 AM

Sodiq Ismail hopes to provide more assists for the Super Eagles after his impressive performance in the team’s victory over Ghana.

Eric Chelle’s side recorded a 2-1 victory over the Black Stars in their Unity Cup semi-final contest at the Gtech Community Stadium, London on Wednesday night.

Ismail provided the assist for Cyriel Dessers’ opening goal in the 14th minute.

Reacting to a video of the opening goal on X, where the commentator was praising Ismaila for his brilliant cross for Dessers, the Remo Stars defender wrote on his handle: “First of many Insha Allah (God willing).”;

The Super Eagles will take on the Reggae Boys of Jamaica in the final on Saturday.

Ghana and Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago will clash in the semi-final.
