Published on May 30, 2025 at 07:28 AM

Brentford defender, Benjamin Frederick has replaced Christantus Uche in Super Eagles’ squad for the Unity Cup invitational tournament.

Uche failed to secure entry visa to the United Kingdom for the competition.

The Getafe striker is now expected to link up with the Super Eagles for the international friendly against Russia next week Friday.

His replacement, Frederick, trained with the team on Thursday night.

The centre-back was outstanding for Brentford in the 2024/25 season.

He was named the Bees Young Player of the Season.

The Super Eagles will face Reggae Boys of Jamaica in the final of the Unity Cup on Saturday.
