Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has lauded the performance of home-based players in his side’s 2-1 victory over the Black Stars of Ghana.
Chelle selected three local players, Sodiq Ismail, Papa Daniel and Sikiru Alimi in his starting line-up.
Ismail set up Dessers for the opening goal,while Daniel and Alimi also put up impressive performance in the thrilling encounter.
The Malian reckoned the players have good qualities, and it is important to give them the opportunity to play for the team.
“These players, they have some qualities,”; Chelle said during his interaction with the media.
“My job is to analyse. My job is to make some choices. If I’m wrong, then I’m guilty. But the reality is that I want to give some chances to these guys. Because I need to put in my team some guys who can add something because we need to win.”;
The Super Eagles will face Jamaica in the final of the invitational tournament on Saturday.
