DRIVERS have been warned of delays following lane closures on a major UK motorway.
Two lanes are closed on the M621 westbound exit slip road at the junction with the M62 in .
National Highways said the delays were being caused by on the carriageway.
are currently facing delays with the incident not thought to be cleared until after 9.30am.
Normal traffic conditions aren’t expected until 9.45am at the latest with drivers urged to plan ahead.
Elsewhere, there are also two lanes closed on the M18 northbound between Junction 4 and Junction 5.
According to the National Highways, this is due to a road traffic collision with normal conditions not expected until later this morning.
Meanwhile, in , the A240 Sheppey Crossing is closed northbound between the B2005 (Iwade) and the A2500 (Minster on Sea, Sheppey) in Kent.
This is to allow for emergency bridge repairs to take place and there is currently no estimated time of when the bridge will re-open.
Drivers are urged to follow the hollow diamond diversion symbol on road signs while contractors work at the scene.
