UK Eurovision stars Remember Monday break silence on devastating defeat

EUROVISION act Remember Monday have broken their silence on their crushing show defeat.

Friends Lauren Byrne, Holly-AnneHulland Charlotte Steele were the first girl group act from the UK to perform since 1999.

They scored 88 in the jury vote, but were given nothing in the public vote.

They received 12 points, the highest amount a country can award a contestant, from Italy, which saw its results announced by a puppet mouse.

Now they have taken to social media to promise fans “this is just the beginning.”;;

They wrote: “WOW – what a ride! Three best mates walked onto the world’s biggest music stage and came out with a Top 10 Jury score, massive streaming numbers, and memories that will last a lifetime.

“Performing at Eurovision was one of the most surreal and emotional moments of our lives.

“The love we’ve felt from fans, our incredible team, and everyone who streamed, voted, and believed in us has been overwhelming.

“This is just the beginning for Remember Monday.
