Former pound-for-pound champion Makhachev is eager for the opportunity to become a two-division champion and further solidify his legacy as an all-time great.

He stated to CBS Sports: “I anticipate that it will be a high-level fight.

“Not only for the belt but for many aspects — for legacy, for rankings, for the title.

“I’m extremely excited to fight this Saturday; this is the biggest fight of my life.”
