The encounter finished 1-1 after 120 minutes at St. Jakob-Park in Basel, Switzerland.
Mariona Caldentey had given Spain the lead in the first half before Alessia Russo equalised for England in the second half.
England eventually emerged winners with a 3-1 penalty shoot-out victory against Spain to lift the trophy.
