UEFA has appointed referee Irfan Peljto to officiate the Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash between Arsenal and Real Madrid on Tuesday.

DAILY POST reports that this will be the second time the Bosnian official has taken charge of a game involving Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Peljto officiated Real Madrid's 1-0 win against Leipzig in the Round of 16 last season.

Meanwhile, the Champions League quarter-final clash between Arsenal and Real Madrid will take place at the Emirates Stadium at 8pm.

Arsenal come into the game following a 1-1 draw with Everton in their most recent Premier League match over the weekend.

The Gunners currently sit in second position on the Premier League table, behind leaders Liverpool.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, lost 2-1 to Valencia in La Liga.

Los Blancos currently occupy second position in La Liga, behind leaders Barcelona.
