UCL: Osimhen ready to play against Ajax – Napoli boss, Spalletti

Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti has stated that Victor Osimhen is ready to make his return from injury against Eredivisie champions, Ajax on Wednesday.

Osimhen picked an injury in Napoli’s UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool on September 8.

The Nigeria international has missed Napoli’s last six games across all competitions following the setback.

The 23-year-old trained with his teammates for the first time since he sustained the injury on Monday.

Spalletti confirmed that the striker and is in good shape ahead of the Champions League clash.

“ Victor is a strength of our team because he is a top player. He is working well and is ready to give his contribution,”Spalletti told a press conference on Tuesday.

”For us Osimhen has to become another leader of this team. We are lucky because we have three forward with different characteristics that together make up the totality of the qualities that complete the department.”

Napoli have hundred percent record in the competition this season.
