Manchester United have lost Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw to injury, as they exited the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The two defenders went off injured during their 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich at Old Trafford.
Maguire pulled up in the first half with a groin problem and was replaced by Johnny Evans.
Shaw did not emerge for the second half, having suffered a suspected hamstring injury.
When United manager, Erik ten Hag was asked for an early assessment of the injuries, he said: “We have to wait 24 hours. And then an assessment and diagnosis. So we have to wait for it.”
The loss of Maguire and Shaw comes as a massive blow to United, who play Liverpool at Anfield in their next game in the Premier League.
