Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, believes Arsenal remain the best team in the Europe’s top-flight competition this season.
Guardiola spoke after Real Madrid eliminated Man City in the Champions League Round of 16 stage on Tuesday.
The Spaniard watched as the LaLiga giants defeated City 2-1 in the Round of 16 second-leg tie at the Etihad Stadium.
Guardiola’s side had lost 3-0 in the first leg last week at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Speaking at his post-match interview after City lost to Real Madrid on Tuesday, Guardiola said of Arsenal, “We will challenge against the best team [Arsenal] in England, so far, the best team in Europe, look at the results in the Champions League group stage.
“They have been the first. They have maybe lost three or four games this season.
“We will have to play them (in Carabao Cup final), after one or two weeks, we play them in the Premier League.”
