UCL final: This defeat will have impact – Inter Milan takes decision on sacking Inzaghi

Inter Milan’s president, Giuseppe Marotta, has claimed the Serie A club want to continue with manager Simone Inzaghi.

Marotta insisted that they want to keep Inzaghi despite the Nerazurri’s 5-0 defeat in the Champions League final to Paris Saint-Germain.

The loss was Inter’s second at this stage of the competition within three seasons, after losing narrowly to Manchester City in Istanbul two years ago.

Inzaghi’s current deal with the Italian giants expires in June next year.

Marotta told reporters: “This defeat will not have an impact. Inzaghi has a contract for another year and we had already decided to meet with him this week.

“We are meeting with the coach because this club is not used to letting a manager go into the final year of his contract.”;
