Former Arsenal midfielder, Patrick Vieira, has weighed in with a bold new verdict on both the Premier League and Champions League races.
He predicted that Arsenal would hold off Manchester City in the battle for England’s top-flight league title and also secure a place in this season’s Champions League final.
Vieira believes the momentum is firmly with Mikel Arteta’s side as they prepare to face Man City in the Premier League this weekend and also face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final later this month.
“I believe there is enough in that Arsenal team to go to the final of the Champions League and even win the Premier League,” Vieira told CBS Sports.
“They just need some really important players to drive the team. I think Gabriel can be one of those players, and Declan Rice can be another.”
