Former Arsenal star, Emmanuel Petit, has hit out at the Gunners for their performances this season.
Petit insisted that Arsenal have failed under their manager Mikel Arteta this term.
The Frenchman also admitted that he was tired of watching Arsenal go trophyless again after being eliminated from the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain this season.
“After we lost against Paris Saint-Germain, the fans were mocking Arsenal because of that,”;; Petit told Casinozonderlimiet (via GOAL).
“It’s the same in England, you know, Arsenal are a good team, a good club, but everyone says that they are not one of the top clubs in Europe in terms of history.
“That is because they have failed and I am tired of it. This team needs to change the situation and win something, they need to compete until the end and not just at the start,”;; he stated.
Arsenal will have to wait until next season to see if they can win a trophy.
But the Premier League North London club need to strengthen their squad this summer transfer window.
