Seven-time champions, Flying Eagles of Nigeria are not among the three seeded teams for tonight’s draw for the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The draw ceremony will hold this evening at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Despite the team’s huge pedigree in the competition, they have failed to qualify for the last two editions.
Hosts Egypt, Uganda and Gambia are the three seeded countries.
Ladan Bosso’s side are in Pot 3 along with Benin Republic, Senegal, Zambia, South Sudan and Congo
Three Egyptian cities, Cairo, Alexandria and Ismaila will host the competition.
The competition will run from February 18 to March 12, 2023.
