Hughie Fury, cousin of Tyson Fury, is set to make his return to the boxing ring at the end of November after a six-month hiatus.

Hughie, whose father also trained him, will face Michael Webster in Rotterdam as part of the undercard for Gradus Kaus vs. Rostam Ibrahim.

This heavyweight bout will mark Fury’s 34th fight since his last loss, which occurred in August 2019 against Alexander Povetkin.

The 31-year-old has been out of action since a fifth-round fight at York Hall in April.

Fury was scheduled to fight again over the summer but had to withdraw due to an injury.

Earlier this month, his promoter Izzy Asif stated, “Who knows, maybe Hughie’s in for an exciting match.

“Negotiations are currently underway. I’d like to see him compete at least once before Christmas.

“Several prominent names have been mentioned for Hughie Fury in the past four or five days. However, he needs to stay active and maintain a consistent, injury-free training routine.

“I have a message on my phone from a well-respected figure in boxing asking: ‘Any updates on [mystery fighter] vs. Hughie?’ I can’t disclose any further information.”

This mysterious opponent appears to be Webster, 30, following an announcement from the boxing management company GBM, which Asif leads.

A post online confirms: “Gradus Kraus will headline in Rotterdam.

“The Dancing Dutchman is set to face Rostam Ibrahim for the IBF European title, and Hughie Fury will return against Michael Webster.

“There will also be an exciting lineup of Dutch talent to complete the event.

Webster commented on X: “This is a tremendous opportunity for Michael, and we intend to seize it with both hands!”

Webster has won 10 of his 13 career fights but is currently on a two-fight losing streak.

The Yorkshireman has suffered defeats in three of his last four bouts.
