The Watford warrior is to continue enlisting the help of his former opponent’s team ahead of his return, which is tentatively slated to take place in July.
Team AJ are eyeing a domestic dust-up with Fury, who next month, for the fourth quarter of the year or early in 2027.
And hopes to see his own two-time conqueror in AJ’s corner when they eventually trade heavy leather.
He told Sky Sports : “If it’s a fight to be made, let’s get it done. Let me get Makhmudov out of the way, and we’re on.
“[It’s] good to see the guy back in training camp. He’s had a bit of a tough time lately, so I’ll just give him space.
“Whatever he wants to do, he can do. [But I’ve] always been the same: Anyone can get it. I hope [Usyk] is in the corner.”
Fury, who hasn’t fought since his back-to-back losses to in 2024, has long thought he’d dance rings around AJ.
And he’s adamant the inclusion of Usyk in his corner won’t change the outcome of the bout.
