TYSON FURY versus Anthony Joshua should smash Wembley’s gate record.
The pair have agreed to finally share a ring, with 36-year-old AJ enjoying a warm-up fight against Kristian Prenga first.
Fury, 37, thought the London 2012 legend had signed for their shootout earlier this month when Joshua was ringside for his dominant points win over Arslanbek Makhmudov.
But the recovering hero – who lost two friends in a devastating December car crash in which he suffered rib damage – had not penned the contract and held firm for a summer tune-up in Saudi.
And Fury promoter – who ran the record smashing 2022 win over for 94,000 fans – believes that number will fall when the two giants finally collide.
“Tyson signed a couple of months ago,” Warren told the Sun’s Corner Talk show.
“He is signed up and ready to go.
“We thought AJ had signed – but he hadn’t.
“But now we are told that he has.
“I would think around October because it starts getting too cold to do a football stadium in the UK.
“I think it will be a massive fight because of the guys involved and the money they are generating and how long people have been waiting for it.
“I think it will be a big, big fight and it may turn out to be the biggest.
“Wembley’s current biggest gate is Tyson and Dillian Whyte, that broke all the box office records for any type of event.
“This one has all the hype, so if it goes to then I would be surprised if it doesn’t break the record.”
When Joshua rocked up to Fury’s Netflix show, it looked like the script was written for them to face-off in the ring and announce their rivalry is finally coming to fruition.
But there was a clumsy exchange of insults and no confirmation.
But Monday’s news that Joshua returns on July 25 against the unknown Albanian sparked confirmation that the biggest fight in British history is coming.
When asked if the foes are getting the same money, Warren said: “I have no idea what AJ is getting, we thought he had signed and thought we would announce the fight after Tyson’s last fight, in the ring at Tottenham.
“But it turned out he hadn’t actually signed.
“But now they have announced his warm-up I am sure it is all signed.
“And I am sure there won’t be a slip-up.”
