TYSON FURY has made a definitive decision on fighting Anthony Joshua just days before his return.

, 37, hopes the latest chapter of his career will produce a shock trilogy fight with two-time conqueror .

But most fans are more interested in seeing him finally settle the score with AJ in a mammoth domestic dust-up.

The prospect of fighting the Watford warrior couldn’t have been any further from Fury’s mind when he was quizzed about their long-overdue clash in February.

The Gypsy King instead wished AJ a speedy mental and physical recovery from , Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, in Nigeria last December.

But he’s changed his tune just days before he trades heavy leather with Russian wrecking machine Makhmudov.

He told the BBC : “If it happens, great, if it doesn’t happen, also great.

“I’ve got Arslanbek Makhmudov to think of on Saturday night.

“But all going well [Joshua is] the fight I want next.”

Tyson Fury’s hiatus comes to an end on Saturday night when he faces Russian giant Arslanbek Makhmudov.

The initially retired after suffering back-to-back defeats against Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.

A date for his return, however, has yet to be finalised as he’s not yet received a clean bill of health.

But Fury insists he’ll be ready to fight his fellow former two-time heavyweight champion at the drop of a hat.

He said: “I know he just had his fight with , whatever.

“A fight’s a fight really. So yeah, I’ll be ready for that straight away after this.”

Fury isn’t letting the prospect of a career-high payday against AJ distract him from the task he has on his hands this weekend.

He said: “I need a dangerous person to get my juices flowing.

“I’ve got a stone-cold killer in this man who could put me out in one shot.

“That means I have to be on my form to deal with this guy.

“At any given time in my career, I would deal with him the same as I’m going to on Saturday night.”
