David Okereke was on target but ended up on the losing side as Gaziantep fell to a 2-1 defeat against Istanbul Basaksehir.

Okereke opened scoring for Gaziantep after nine minutes with Halil Dervisoglu providing the assist.

The 27-year-old has now scored eight goals in 25 league appearances for Gaziantep this season.

The striker was in action for the entire duration of the game.

Istanbul Basaksehir fought back to win the game, netting twice in the space of seven minutes through Krzysztof Piatek's penalty and a goal from Ivan Brnic.

Gaziantep stayed in eighth position with 42 points from 30 matches following the win.
