DONALD Trump was reportedly smuggled off Air Force One in a catering truck last month in an elaborate ruse after a threat from Iran.
The US president was secretly swapped onto a different plane as he left a Nato summit in Turkey on July 8, according to the Washington Post.

Journalists and even White House staff were tricked by the plot, believing they were on the same plane as the president as it left Ankara.
Trump had publicly boarded Air Force One – but it was a decoy.
He was then smuggled off the plane into a catering truck by a door on the other side of the plane.
It had reportedly been raised right to the plane door so the president couldn’t be seen at all as he slipped out.
Trump was accompanied by aides as he duped onlookers.
The US president was then driven in the truck and snuck onto a smaller military plane, Air Force C-32A, according to reports.
War Secretary Pete Hegseth shared the secret flight with Trump.
A US official told the Post he boarded from the outside, “to make the flight appear typical”.
