The US President has been ordered to stop work on the above-ground part of his bunker and ballroom plan for the .
Judge Richard Leon said Trump had tried to side-step a previous court order by claiming that the ballroom was vital for national security.
Leon said: “National security is not a blank cheque to proceed with otherwise unlawful activity.”
The White House was sued by the for Historic Preservation over its dramatic plans to replace the East Wing with a new 1,350-person capacity ballroom.
He hit back that the ballroom was “needed now” and that the underground bunker would be “useless” without the above-ground part of the project.
He said the bunker is “wedded to” the above-ground part, and that the project is “all tied together as one big, expensive, and very complex unit, which is vital for National Security and Military Operations of the of America”.
The US President boasted that the upper part of the project will include a “State of the Art Hospital and Medical Facilities” and “Top Secret Military Installations”.
They will be protected, he said, by “Missile Resistant Steel”, “Drone Proof Ceilings and Roofs” and “Bullet, Ballistic, and Blast Proof Glass”.
Trump has already razed the White House’s East Wing to make way for the bunker and ballroom project.
He branded Richard Leon an “out of control Trump Hating, Washington, D.C. District Court Judge”, claiming his decision to block construction “severely jeopardizes the lives and welfare of the people who work, and will be working, at the White House”.
Trump raged that the Judge “is attempting to prevent future Presidents and World Leaders from having a safe and secure large scale Meeting Place”.
He has insisted a ballroom of this scale has been sought for 150 years and that the existing 200-person capacity room is too small.
The plan for Trump’s nuke-proof mega bunker was , after the Secret Service warned delays or halts in the construction of the ballroom would pose “national security concern”.

The original nuclear vault – formally known as the Presidential Emergency Operations Centre – was built after Pearl Harbour.
But the East Wing was razed last year to make way for the controversial $400million ballroom project which is being funded privately by Trump and other donors.
The ballroom will be the biggest structural change to the Executive Mansion since the addition of the Truman Balcony overlooking the South Lawn in 1948, even dwarfing the building itself.
Shalom Baranes, the architect who took over the project last year, told a meeting of the National Capital Planning Commission in Washington in January that the ballroom will be approximately 22,000 square feet.
