DONALD Trump is plotting to obliterate Iran’s regime with a meticulously planned mission involving air raids and Mossad agents, insiders claim.

Radars across the rogue nation would be blinded before a series of precision strikes to annihilate the regime’s sites – and more.

Chief mullah is risking ‘s wrath as his stooges continue to dig their heels in over stopping Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.

The US president has repeatedly warned he will take action if a deal over the Islamic Republic’s nukes is not reached.

Pentagon plans for an air blitz to destroy ‘s missile capabilities, remaining nuclear sites and Revolutionary Guard Corps [IRGC] could stretch for weeks, experts say.

Major General Jack Keane, director of the Institute for the Study of War in Washington, told The Sun: “Now is the time to hit Iran because it is weak.”

Iran’s bloodthirsty regime has been left reeling from mass protests that swept across the nation – with Khamenei suffering the biggest challenge to his authority to date.

That coupled with the unleashed by the US and Israel last summer has left the mad mullahs on their knees.

And it could prove to be the final nail in the regime’s coffin if Trump decides to pull the trigger on strikes at any moment.

US ex-Special Forces Colonel Ron MacMannon told The Sun: “Iran’s regime could face annihilation if US war plans are really set in motion.”

Insiders say the US can flick the switch of Iran’s defences with ease – as its agents did last month to capture Nicolás Maduro from Venezuela on Trump’s orders last month.

Iran’s defences mainly consist of Russian S-300 systems that were quickly neutralised by US electronic jamming and HARM anti-radar missiles in Operation Absolute Resolve in Caracas on January 3.

Aircraft carrier-based EA-18G Growler electronic warfare fighters could similarly blind Iranian radar and take out SAM emplacements.

This would open air corridors for F-15 Eagles, F-18 Super Hornets and F-35 stealth fighters to hit the ballistic missile installations and underground storage sites with bunker-busting bombs.

Tehran’s ability to strike back would be largely diminished as a result.

Mimicking tactics used in last year’s blitz, Israeli aircraft would be used to open the way for US B-2 stealth bombers to target nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.

Mid-air refuelling tankers would be stationed in key areas – allowing recurrent raids with GBU-57 deep-penetration bombs from the US Indian Ocean base of Diego Garcia.

These would be positioned safely out of range of even the most advanced Iranian missiles.

Tehran has acquired some of Russia’s more advanced S-400 SAMs to protect sensitive sites over the past year.

But even Moscow’s newer systems have proved vulnerable to low-flying cruise missiles in the war in Ukraine.

They would be targeted by American sea-based Tomahawks fired from warships at the start of an air campaign.

Initial US strikes would also be directed at destroying what remains of the Iranian air force.

Its ageing squadrons of Russian Mig-29s, Su-24s, Chinese JL-7s and some vintage US F-4s and French Mirages hardly challenged Israeli F-35s during last year’s air battle.

Advanced Su-35s requested from Russia have not been delivered.

Calm before the storm

Prior to air strikes, American KC-135 and KC-46 mid-air refuelling tankers would start circling 50,000ft above the Persian Gulf.

These would be primed and ready to pump petrol into the fighters burning fuel quickly in gruelling combat missions – allowing attacks to continue uninterruptedly.

Satellite images show dozens of super air tankers parked at US bases in the Gulf states, where they have flown in from Nato bases in Spain and the UK.

Giant command and control AWACS planes would keep directing bombing sorties to new targets, feeding them constant information on evolving threats in the dizzying combat environment.

Ground attack A-10 Thunderbolts with 30mm chain cannons would hunt down Iranian mobile missile launchers emerging to deliver retaliatory strikes against US bases and Israel.

Trump threatens to ‘do a Venezuela’ on Iran

by , Foreign Editor

DONALD Trump has threatened a Venezuela-like strike on Iran unless a nukes deal is agreed.

The US president warned mullahs that the “consequences would be steep” if they do not budge.

He said the US armada near would “wait around awhile” as it did before last month’s raid on Caracas when and his wife were snatched.

Peace prospects seemed bleak earlier this month after Iran’s blood-soaked Supreme Leader refused US demands to stop enriching uranium towards weapons-grade.

Talks in Oman were cut short after ’s henchmen refused to co-operate.

Iran was said to be infuriated when military chief General Brad Cooper arrived unexpectedly.

Sources likened it to “conducting negotiations with a gun on the table.”

They want to negotiate only on nukes while Trump also wants to discuss ballistic missiles and crackdowns on pro-democracy demos which have

Last year, both were bloodied by Tehran’s long-range Fattah hypersonic missiles.

Since then, their precision has been enhanced with Russian and Chinese GPS guidance technology, according to Israeli intelligence reports.

IRGC headquarters, arsenals and communication networks might also be hit to incapacitate the group’s ability to react against popular uprisings that might erupt.

Air strikes could be coordinated with Israeli Mossad teams that penetrated Iran and conducted clandestine activities for years – including an elaborate sting operation that wiped out the IRGC’s entire high command.

“The Israelis have friends in high places in Iran willing to work for the West,” MacMannon – who has operated in Afghanistan and parts of central Asia warned.

He said the Mossad could track movements and life patterns of key members of the regime to plan hits by Reaper drones or by Delta Force and Navy SEALs.

It would be “highly feasible” at advanced stages for Special Forces to establish “air heads” around hardened sites such as “Pickaxe” under construction in the Zagros mountains, where nuclear material has reportedly been moved.

“They could make sure everything there is obliterated,” MacMannon said.

It comes as two aircraft carriers escorted by a dozen missile-carrying destroyers and submarines are getting into position in and around the Persian Gulf – along with hundreds of warplanes.

Fighter squadrons and large military transports keep flying into US forward bases in Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Iraq and Jordan in the biggest American deployment since the 1991 Gulf War.

Satellite images also indicate the arrival of Chinook and MH-60 Blackhawk special operations helicopters, as well as Abrams tanks being unloaded from giant C-17 and Galaxy transport planes landing hourly.

The UK has also sent an RAF Eurofighter squadron to a British base in Qatar.

Supreme Leader Khamenei has offered to limit uranium enrichment – but his negotiators have otherwise made few other concessions.

They refuse to even discuss reducing Iran’s arsenal of ballistic missiles – which concerns America’s ally, Israel.

Trump said that he wants to continue negotiations with Iran – but he warned if “no deal is reached, bad things can happen”.

Iran's nuclear sites

Arak plant – satellite pictures of this plant near the Iranian town of Arak surfaced over 20 years ago.

It contains a heavy-water reactor with plutonium that can be used for nuclear bombs.

Bushehr nuclear power station – this power plant is a combination of Russian and German engineering.

Its nuclear reactor is operating at 100% power and the site is home to enriched uranium, used for nuclear bombs.

Gachin uranium mine – home to uranium ore concentrate, or yellowcake, which can be transformed into enriched uranium ready for nuke bomb assembling.

Isfahan conversion plant – yellowcake is converted here into three dangerous substances.

Hexafluoride gas used in the enrichment process, uranium oxide used to fuel reactors and metal used in the cores of nuclear bombs.

Natanz uranium enrichment plant – this is Iran’s largest enrichment base.

It’s made up of three underground buildings and is closely watched by the international community.

Parchin military site – south of Tehran, this site is focused on research and the production of ammo, rockets and explosives.

Concerns have been raised that it is also used as part of Iran’s nuclear weapon development.

Qom uranium enrichment plant – a heavily fortified and initially secret facility where Iran carries out uranium enrichment.
