Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 3 Division and Operation SAFE HAVEN have neutralised two suspected bandits during a night-time ambush in Nemaledu village, Gimbi District of Wase Local Government Area, Plateau State.

The successful operation, which also led to the recovery of a fabricated AK-47 rifle, was revealed by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post on Thursday night via his handle on X.

According to Makama, the troops launched the operation around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, following credible intelligence on the movement of the bandits through a known crossing route.

“During the operation, the troops made contact with the bandits and in the ensuing exchange of fire, neutralised two of them,”;; the post stated.

The troops also recovered a fabricated AK-47 rifle from the scene.
