RADIO 2 star Trevor Nelson has revealed he’s been diagnosed with a brain tumour and had surgery to try and beat the disease.

The much-loved broadcaster returned to social media this afternoon weeks after stepping away from his radio show due to illness.

He has now spoken about his cancer for the first time, telling fans his surgery was “very serious” but it went “incredibly well”.

Trevor said: “There’s been a lot of speculation as to what’s wrong with me, I know that much. My phone’s blown up 20 times over with people asking what’s wrong with me.

“I was minding my own business and then it was discovered I had a brain tumour.

“As you can imagine, I was shocked. In fact, my world was turned upside down.”

Zoe Ball commented: “So good to see your face Trevor and learn that you’re doing well. Huge healing love to you wonderful man.”

Fearne Cotton said: “We love you Trev. So happy you’re recovering well.”
