Transfer: Why Ronaldo cannot play in EPL again – Geremi

Published on June 13, 2025 at 10:50 AM

Former Chelsea star, Geremi Njitap, has claimed cannot play in the Premier League again.

Ronaldo has had two stints with Manchester United over the course of his career.

During his time with the Red Devils, the Portugal captain claimed league titles, Champions League crowns and Ballon d’Or honours.

However, his second spell ended with his contract being terminated, before he move on to Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo is still going strong at 40 years of age, recently winning the UEFA Nations League with his country.

With his current deal with Al Nassr running down, there have been speculations around his future, with a possible return to England touted.

But Geremi told BoyleSports: “The Premier League is too demanding, he is 40 years old and it wouldn’t be the same as doing it once in a while in international games.

“I think he’s going into his last year in football and I can’t see him spending that in the Premier League, it’s too competitive and a lot more demanding than he has been used to in the last two years.”;
