Transfer: ‘Sign CR7’ – Real Madrid fans demand Ronaldo’s return

Published on May 29, 2025 at 05:54 PM

Real Madrid fans are asking the club’s president, Florentino Perez, to bring back Cristiano Ronaldo to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The fans hung a banner outside the club’s Valdebebas training complex, demanding the return of the 40-year-old.

The notice was intended for Perez, who was asked to re-sign the striker.

Ronaldo left the club in 2018 and later explained he had to leave following a misunderstanding between him and Perez.

The Portuguese football icon was in the Spain capital city club for nine years from 2009 to 2018.

His contract at current club, Al-Nassr, will expire at the end of the season with talks of a renewal still ongoing.

However, Ronaldo recently wrote that “This chapter is over,”; a message that has remained unclear to his fans but has fuelled the speculation about him leaving the Saudi Pro League giants.

Madrid fans left a banner at Valdebebas, which read, according to El Chiringuito TV, “Florentino, sign CR7.”;

However, it is worth noting that it would be unlikely for the 40-year-old to return to the club.
