Transfer: Real Betis weigh up move for Ndidi

Published on July 01, 2025 at 11:18 AM

Spanish club Real Betis are plotting a summer move for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.

Ndidi is expected to leave Leicester City this summer following the Foxes’ relegation from the Premier League last season.

The 28-year-old has a €7m release clause in the three-year contract he signed last summer.

Real Betis have made initial enquiries about the player’s availability, according to Diario de Sevilla.

The LaLiga club, who lost to Chelsea in the final of the UEFA Europa Conference League last season, are looking to bolster their midfield ahead of the new campaign.

They see Ndidi as a natural fit for their style of play.

The Nigeria international linked up with Leicester City from Belgian Pro League outfit KRC Genk in 2017.
