Respected Turkish Sports journalist, Ömer Faruk Özcan has given a fresh insight in Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen’s ongoing transfer saga.
According to Özcan, the Nigeria international ‘was convinced’ to remain at Galatasaray beyond this summer transfer window despite interest from top European clubs, including Chelsea.
He added that the President of Galatasaray, Abdullah Kavukcu, is now in transfer negotiations with Napoli regarding signing the 26-year-old attacker on a permanent transfer.
This is coming after Galatasaray secured the singing of Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich on Thursday.
“Second bombshell in Galatasaray... Leroy Sane is over, Osimhen is next! The player was convinced.
“Abdullah Kavukcu is in transfer negotiations with Napoli,”; Özcan was quoted by habersarikirmizi as saying.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray vice president Ibrahim Hatipoglu remains confident the club will on a permanent transfer.
The Turkish Super Lig champions are keen to retain the former Lille star after his remarkable loan spell at the club.
