‘What is going on here?’ – Kyle Walker completes Burnley transfer as they unveil him in ‘best announcement video ever’

BURNLEY fans were left stunned by the club’s Lionel Ritchie-inspired announcement of the signing of Kyle Walker.

The Clarets made the international, who has inked a two-year deal at Turf Moor, their NINTH arrival of the summer on Saturday with a £5million deal with Manchester City.

Burlney fans have been glued to social media for the last two days waiting for official confirmation of Walker’s arrival.

And it came in the bizarre form of a mash-up video featuring key moments of the music video for Ritchie’s 1983 classic, ‘Hello’.

In the video, pretended to pick up the phone to Ritchie before creating his own version of the iconic clay sculpture of the pop star’s face the blind female student in the video made.

He then went on to say the student’s famous line, saying: “I’ve wanted you to see it so many times, but I think it’s finally done. Tell me what you think of it.”;

Before wrapping a scarf around the sculpture, Walker then said: “But I’m just adding the finishing touches. Up the Clarets.”;

Footie fans could quite believe the announcement, with one saying: “TF is going on here?”;

Another said: “Belter.”;

And another said: “This announcement is f****** incredible.”;

One remarked: Burnley are the GOATS of player announcements videos.”;

Another chimed in: “Burnley Admin is class. These signing videos are Brilliant.”;

Walker, who spent the second half of last season on loan in Italy with , is excited by the new challenge ahead of him.

He said: “I’m delighted to be here. When I spoke to Scott and heard about his plans for next season, it was an opportunity I jumped at.

“He’s done an amazing job here, guiding the Club back to the Premier League with a 100-point haul.

“And now we’re looking forward, together, at being back in the greatest league in the world.

“Burnley had a tremendous campaign last season, built on an incredible defensive record.

“And I can’t wait to come in and add my experience and quality to what looks an exciting squad.”;
