MANCHESTER UNITED are set to be pipped to the signature of Mads Hermansen by West Ham.
Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim is eyeing the Leicester City keeper as a potential long-term replacement for calamitous Cameroonian Andre Onana .

United, along with Aston Villa , Burnley , Nottingham Forest and Wolves, have been impressed by the Dane’s displays since he dethroned Danny Ward as the Foxes’ first-choice stopper two seasons ago.
But SunSport understands West Ham have stolen a march on their Prem rivals by agreeing personal terms with the 25-year-old keeper.
All that remains for Hermansen to swap the King Power for the London Stadium is for Leicester and West Ham to reach a suitable financial agreement.
Hermansen, who was a shining light in a dull 2024/25 season for the Foxes, is understood to be keen on the move.
Both clubs are extremely motivated to get the deal, which is progressing well, over the line before the new Championship and Premier League seasons get underway.
Hermansen’s ball-playing ability, as well as his shot-stopping, have also gained him admirers on the continent.
The Dane joined Leicester in July 2023 from Brondby on a five-year deal.
He’s made 72 appearances in his two years at the Midlands club, in which he’s conceded 101 goals.

Hermansen, who saved a penalty from Cole Palmer last season, has kept 14 clean sheets during his time at the King Power.
Leicester kick off life back in the Championship next Sunday at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
West Ham, and potentially Hermansen, will start their Prem campaign on August 16 with a trip to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland.
