Manchester United have taken a decision after Kobbie Mainoo asked for a loan move away from Old Trafford this summer transfer window.
Mainoo had told United’s hierarchy at a meeting on Thursday that he wants to go on a loan move before the transfer window closes next Monday.
However, according to The Athletic, the Red Devils rejected the England international’s request, telling the youngster they will not authorized a loan.
Mainoo didn’t play United’s Premier League games against Fulham and Arsenal.
However, the 20-year-old midfielder featured in their Carabao Cup loss to Grimsby Town on Wednesday night.
Mainoo, who is not happy with his lack of game time in the Premier League under manager Ruben Amorim, joined the club’s academy at the age of nine.
He has attracted interest from Spanish LaLiga giants Real Madrid in recent days.
