Transfer: Man Utd only club left in race to sign Sesko

Manchester United are now the only club left in the running to sign RB Leipzig striker, Benjamin Sesko.

This follows the withdrawal of Newcastle United, who are trying to get a replacement for the wantaway Alexander Isak.

But the Magpies believe they won’t stand a chance if they are competing against the Red Devils for Sesko.

According to Goal, United have now informed Leipzig of their desire to submit an offer for the Slovenian international.

The £64m-rated striker has become United’s top target following internal disagreements over striker priorities.

Despite speculation, Rasmus Hojlund is not expected to leave Old Trafford, as manager Ruben Amorim sees Sesko as healthy competition for the Dane.
