Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapié is set to fly to the UK for medicals ahead of a proposed move to Arsenal.

The two clubs struck an agreement on Friday over a season-long loan with an option to buy.

According to Sky Sports, the total package could amount to around £45 million.

Leverkusen have now granted Hincapié permission to travel for medical tests this weekend.

The Ecuador international has also agreed personal terms on a five-year contract with Arsenal, should the club choose to trigger the option.

The deal for the 23-year-old is expected to accelerate Porto’s bid to sign Jakub Kiwior.

Arsenal’s agreement with Porto for Kiwior is understood to be a loan with an obligation to buy, worth £24 million.
