Transfer: ‘He’s confused’ – Özbostan names club Osimhen’s family doesn’t want Nigerian to join

Published on June 16, 2025 at 01:00 PM

Popular commentator, Murat Özbostan, has revealed that Victor Osimhen’s family does not want him to move to Saudi Arabia.

Transfer market expert, Fabrizio Romano reported earlier that Al Hilal are not giving up on Osimhen as they want to submit a new proposal to the player.

Osimhen had earlier rejected the club but Al Hilal are said to be insisting as the race remains open to Galatasaray and Premier League clubs while Juventus are still interested.

Özbostan said that the chances of the striker signing for Galatasaray is high.

However, he said that the 26-year-old is yet to make his final decision on his future.

Galatasaray has made a substantial offer to the Nigeria international in their relentless effort to keep him at the club where he spent last season on loan.

During his period at the club, Osimhen helped the Turkish giants win to a domestic double.

Despite Galatasaray’s significant proposal, the Napoli forward remains undecided.

Özbostan believes that the player’s family remains an important factor that could influence the striker’s next career decision.

“Osimhen is not closing the door to Galatasaray either, but he has not made a clear decision. He is still confused,”; Özbostan said, according to habersarikirmizi.

“Osimhen’s family is not keen on Arabia. I think his chances of staying at Galatasaray are around 60%.

“Galatasaray made their offer and then waited. I think the Galatasaray management is being very generous.”;

Osimhen is still a Napoli player till June 2026.

He may not, however, play under Antonio Conte who prefers Romelu Lukaku upfront.

The Super Eagles attacker and former African Footballer of the Year is expected to be offloaded by Napoli before the summer transfer window closes.
