Transfer: Don’t go Man Utd – Agbonlahor tells Liam Delap EPL club to join

Former Aston Villa captain, Gabby Agbonlahor, has urged Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap not to join Manchester United this summer transfer window.

Delap has a £30 million clause in his contract following Ipswich Town’s relegation from the Premier League to the Championship.

The 22-year-old has attracted interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, West Ham, Aston Villa, Everton and Arsenal this summer.

However, Agbonlahor wants Delap to instead join West Ham United and prove himself at the Hammers.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor said: “If I were him I would not be going there [United] at the moment. I would not stay at Ipswich.

“I’d go to a West Ham, go and prove yourself at West Ham, the next step.

“They need a striker, Ferguson will go back to Brighton, that has not worked out. They are desperate for a striker.”;;

Delap has scored 12 goals for Ipswich Town so far this season.
